Thursday 4/27 Bay is alive!
Wednesday, April, 26, 2017 at 10:19PM
More of the same! Fish were a little more sluggish than the day before but I just got a report of some good fishing in the northern bay mostly all on Bunker Chunks but they′re catching! Ally is on the local docks tonight and she′s got action on Bunker chunks as well...All BIG Blues. Thursday is the start of a nice stretch of warm weather. Buckle up!! Surf had tough condition but should improve as we get into Thursday. Todays weather... Mostly cloudy skies early will become mostly sunny later in the day. High 70F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph.

We just got a load of Fresh Bunker in and we have Fresh Clams in stock! We are now on our Full-Time Hours! Monday-Saturday 430am-10pm Sunday 430am-8pm. The longest hours around!........Ray

Pretty much the same report as yesterday. We sent a surprising amount of anglers out in the rain and the reports were coming in from the bay. Poppers, SP′s, Bunker were the top hitters. These blues are ranging anywhere from 8-16lbs with a few bigger ones mixed in! They′re angry and hungry. Heard nothing out front due to the rough conditions with the NE wind. Todays weather..Chance of a morning shower then turning Overcast. High 60F. Winds NNE at 10 to 15 mph. Looks like a better day!

Just got off the phone with our very own Sean and his exact quote was ″This was the best top water bluefish action I′ve ever seen in the barney bay″. He was just north of the shop and said he lost count on how many he had. Biggest was pushing over 15 lbs he also mentioned he had one fish that smoked his vs150 before breaking the metal leader. The water temps are slowly climbing and this will only get better! I expect some crazy action in our future. We also got reports from the Toms River and local bay docks. The Bluefish invasion is starting!!! Todays weather...Windy with periods of rain. High 55F. Winds ENE at 25 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Break out the rain gear and hit the bay! The fish are already wet.

Bay was active once again and it seems the fishing back there is getting better and better by the day. Got reports of guys catching on artificials now so back bay temps are warming up but Bunker chunks off the local docks and bay shores is still your best bet. Countless people came back in on Sunday to reload on bait. Both local inlets are also producing Blues on artificials. Like I said before expect the fishing to only get better! This has huge potential to really blow up with the warmer temperatures predicted later this week. Off the surf we got reports of some smaller Bass on small metal. Bob′s brother got into them Sunday morning. We also have some Big Blues off the surf on Bunker Chunks. Big Bass soon???? Todays weather....Cloudy with a chance of showers in the afternoon. High 55F. Winds ENE at 10 to 20 mph.

Pretty much the same report as yesterday. We had a lot of guys head out. Blues remain the game in town. We heard of a good bite in the inlet on Bucktails and any accessible bay spots have been producing on Bunker Chunks. Bunker is the bait right now and we got in a bunch right before we closed! We also heard of more schoolies bass off the surf on clams and bunker. Not sure if anyone has looked at the long range forecast but starting later next week it looks to get really warm. They blew the forecast for Saturday but today looks like the best of the weekend! Todays weather...Partly cloudy. High 56F. NNE winds shifting to ESE at 10 to 15 mph.

Blues, Blues, and more Blues! They′re sure making their presence known in our bay. Countless reports from all over on Bait. I did get one report of a artificial bite but nothing confirmed. Bait is still your best bet until the bay temps warm up. Small Bass still remain in the surf. Small baits with small hooks is the key. Hearing of crazy bite just to the south of us and they′re moving north! Todays weather....Showers early, becoming a cloudy with a chance of showers later in the day. High 57F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%. This is the weather you want!
