Happy Friday! Some good fishing again along the beach. Our very own Frankie Z had non-stop action with the Bluefish and had a really nice size Bass he released. All caught on Bunker. Frankie was in the Berkeley catch and release tournament. Problem was he forgot his measuring tape! Oh well Frankie!!! We also had some Fluke along the surf. Most were caught by accident fishing Bunker. Some good fluking reported in the Manasquan river on the boat and kayaks as well. If you′re going to target the Fluke in the Surf or bay look no further than Gulp. We got in a huge shipment of it. We also got in a load of Fresh Clams if you want to give them a shot for the Bass. Todays weather looks awesome. West winds are back! Partly cloudy. High 72F. Winds W at 10 to 15 mph.

Truck deliveries were coming in all day Thursday. Tons of Crab Traps, SP′s, more Penn Slammers in all the sizes, Tica Rods, Rod Geeks Blanks (The Pink Lady Blanks are in!), Tsunami Bunker Spoon Rods (Under $130!), Costa Sunglasses, and more!

Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend! See you at the shop!.......Ray

Thursday 5/25 Fluke open Thursday!
*The 2017 Fluke regulations are set! It′s three-fish per person at 18″ but if you′re fishing Island Beach State Park (Land) it will continue its program with a 16″ size limit and two-fish per person. Season is from May 25th to September 5th.*

We had some fish caught off the surf this evening. Bait still remains your best bet. Heard of a couple Bass as well. Back bay local docks still producing BIG Blues! All a bait game there too. Even lagoons have the big blues. Crazy! Weather doesn′t look great for the first half of the day.. Showers, a few thundershowers in the morning will give way to cloudy skies late. High near 65F. Winds ESE at 20 to 25 mph.

If the ocean is to rough hit the back bay and fool around with the Blues until the conditions improve and don′t forget Fluke will open Thursday so you have another specie to target! We′re fully stocked on all the Fluke Gear you need from Bucktails to Gulp to Frozen Bait! ..........Ray

Wednesday 5/24 Bounce back!
The fishing improved by a lot Tuesday. We had 3 Bass weighed in up to 21.25lbs and heard of lots of BIG Blues up and down the beach. Not only did the catch on Bunker but also Poppers and Plugs. Also there was a decent amount of Bunker in the area and they came in close a few times. That′s how Dave got his 18.20 pounder. The bunker came in and he had a chunk out and got picked up right away. Have snags ready!!! Lots of whales and dolphins chasing bunker along the coast too. We have lots of life out here! Todays weather...Partly Sunny with a chance of showers in the morning. High near 64. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph.

Open Early-Close Late!........Ray

Tuesday 5/23
Not a ton of guys out Monday but we did get some reports. Some really large Blues were reported and we did weigh a really nice Bass in. Seems Bunker is still the way to go but I did hear of a decent size Bass caught on a Clam. Our very own Sean found some Bunker in casting distance and was able to snag a few. Nothing in them but encouraging news nevertheless. Today′s weather...Overcast. High 64F. Winds NE at 10 to 15 mph.

Was restocking all Monday after a crazy weekend! We got a HUGE Super Strike order in. All the popular styles and colors in stock........Ray

Monday 5/22
It was a slow pick Sunday of Bluefish along the beach. Kinda of surprising with the nice NE winds the past few days. They picked Blues here and there on Bunker and we had a nice Bass weighed in on a bucktail. Not sure how many fish were checked in for the governors tournament but we heard it was slower. We got some weather coming in on Monday. Maybe they′ll turn back on? Hopefully we get those Bunker we had last week to return to the area.. Now might be a good time to check your gear and make sure you′re ready for the next push of fish.. Todays weather...Periods of Rain. High 66F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph.

Todays another day! Plenty of Fresh Bait in Stock. Open Early-Close Late!.......Ray

Sunday 5/21 Tournament Day!
We want to wish everyone entering the 2017 IBSP Governor′s Surf Fishing Tournament good luck! Shop will be open 2am or earlier Sunday AM. We′re fully stocked on all the Fresh Bait you need to win this thing! Got in over 1200 lbs of Fresh Bunker and a ton of Fresh Clams. We also have a huge selection of Frozen Bait. The report for Saturday was a little slower fishing off the surf. We heard of Bluefish again pretty much all over but it was a slower pick on Bunker. Heard of a few Bass as well on clams and bunker. Inlet produced some Blues as well. Todays weather...Sunshine and clouds mixed. High 63F. Winds E at 10 to 15 mph.

Like I said before we′ll be at the shop 2am or earlier Sunday AM. If you see the lights on come on in. We have everything you need! Good Luck!........Ray
