Feels like Fall!
Sunday, October, 23, 2016 at 4:08AM
Sure feels like Fall this morning! Pretty much the same report as yesterday. Heard of a few Keeper size Bass taken on Clams. We had some solid reports from the night crowd the night before. Some real nice fish taken on plugs in the night time hours. All on SP Minnows! It′s not crazy fishing but if you put your time in you′ll be rewarded. We have a body of some bigger fish just off the beach and the boats guys have been doing really well. Bunker have moved into the area but are staying to far out.. Will two days of NW winds get these guys closer?? We still have small blues ranging from 1-4lbs taking mullet up and down. Todays weather... Sunny and windy. High 64F. Winds W at 20 to 30 mph

Shop is looking better by the day! We′ve rearranged the back off the shop to get more clothing and foul weather gear in. We love to do this when Grumps away because he loves surprises! Can′t wait until he see all the new stuff we got in! We got a huge delivery of CCW swimmmers and darters in. In my opinion one of the best wooden plugs on the market. They won′t last long! ........... Ray

Rain Gear Morning!
The rain will be gone and the wind will be NW. (Over your shoulder) So everyone will feel like a tournament caster.
Our blues have not failed to entertain yesterday as well as some Bass. The bunker were within a few casts in the afternoon yesterday no reported hook ups but we don′t hear everything that goes on. As far as last night no one from the night crew has been in. (They are probably drying out).

Saturday 100 % Precip. / 0.21 in
Windy with rain early...then remaining cloudy with possible showers for the afternoon. High 53F. Winds WNW at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall near a quarter of an inch.

More of the Same....
Bluefish in the suds along with favorable reports of Bass.
we had 2 that the scales yesterday, 1 surf and 1 boat caught. Along with the unreported C&R fish, it2s starting to get interesting. I think we2ll see a lot more Bass this weekend. Boat guys it′s time to stock up on your Maja spoons and Mojo rigs. The demand was high last fall. Most other shops ran out of them.

Take caution upon entering the apparel Dept. The piles of Guy Cotten and Stormr surf and foul weather gear is getting moved and organized to help accommodate the expected huge Sweatshirt and T shirt delivery. It2s a lot of work but, we enjoy providing our customers with a huge selection to chose from.

I wonder if the Old Grumpy guy will even notice all the new garment racks and product we2ve brought in. He should go to Trini more often.

Friday 60 % Precip. / 0.11 in
Overcast with rain showers at times. High 72F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 60%.

Lil bit of NE.....
Looks like a lil NE wind, hopefully going to pick up the Bass bite today. Bluefish reports remain the same with them eating meat and artificials. Bass caught at dawn yesterday on plugs with a some more during the day on bait. I haven2t heard of a night bite but, that doesn2t mean they aren2t eating.
The store is a little in disarray as we are remerchandising the clothing dept. of the store to accommodate the HUGE order of T-shirts and sweatshirts Ray has ordered. So bear with us.

Partly cloudy this morning, then becoming cloudy during the afternoon. A 20% chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm is possible.
High near 70F. Winds E at 10 to 15 mph.

P.S. We are still all smiles here on day number 2 of Grumpys
vacation. :-)

He′s Gone!!!!
Our vacation week has started the same time Grumpy has gone to Trinidad. Coincidence? We′re open but much more pleasant around here.
The small Blues still dominate our shores on bait mostly, while more Bass are starting to make their way into our waters. Rumor has it that a number of Bass were caught on plugs in the daylight hours yesterday North of us.
Todays weather is a hot one for Oct.
Sunny to partly cloudy. Record high temperatures expected. High 81F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph

Possible Record High Temps Today?
What is Mother Nature thinking? We have already had a couple of frost warnings and now this? It wont last and fall will return shortly! Nothing earthshaking in yesterdays report so expect the small Blues and a pick of Bass, mostly on bait. We are starting to hear about big schools of Bunker moving into the area! Any bets that there are big Bass right behind them?
The weather idiots have this - Sunny. Record high temperatures expected. High 77F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph.
