FLUKE Season opens Friday! 5/25
Thursday, May, 24, 2018 at 11:00PM
Fluke Season opens up Friday! I expect to hear some good things right out of the gate. Weve been seeing a crazy amount of by-catch fluke in both the bay and surf the past few weeks. Use Gulp and small Bucktails on a Bucktail teaser rig. Were completely loaded up on everything you need for this years Fluke Season. From Bucktails to Gulp to Premium Frozen Bait. We got you covered! This years Fluke Season will run from May 25th to September 22nd. Its three-fish per person at 18 but if youre fishing Island Beach State Park (Land) it will continue its program with a 16 size limit and two-fish per person.

Fishing Report- Slower pick Thursday. Heard of some bass and blues along the beach but nothing crazy. Back bay docks were very good though. Good amount of Big Bluefish. Fresh Bunker on a wire leader rig was the ticket. We picked up over 40 bushels of FRESH CLAMS and we got Plenty of FRESH BUNKER. Well be loaded up for the big weekend. Another gorgeous day is on tap for Friday. Mostly Sunny. High 85. Winds WSW 10-15mph.

We got a mess of Crabbing Supplies Thursday so if youre looking to go Crabbing come stop in. Traps, Lines, Bushel Baskets, Nets, and bait! Hearing a few things on crabs already.

OPEN EVERYDAY! 430AM-10PM including Memorial day!

Thursday 5/24
Not a bad day at all. Like I said yesterday, some are catching and some are not. We had 4 bass hit the scale and 1 bluefish. Heard of other keepers caught.. My long time regulars from Virginia had a nice pair of bass Wednesday in the 34-36″ range. They caught them down in IBSP on clams. SP Minnows, Bucktails, Fresh Clams, and Fresh Bunker are all producing fish right now. It seems bait is still the way to go though. No hot spot just put your time in. Another nice day is on tap. Thursdays weather...Sunny Skies. High 77. Winds NE 5-10mph. Beautiful!

We have plenty of Fresh Clams and Fresh Bunker in stock. We′re expecting another monster drop off of Fresh Clams tomorrow!

We got in more of the HOT Tsunami Elite Series Bait Rods. The rod is 12′ and can throw anywhere from 6-12oz! Fuji K Series guides. This rod was designed for long distance casting and that′s what it does. We′ve been selling a ton of them and everyone loves them.

Wednesday 5/23 Nice weigh-in list!
Good weigh-in list Tuesday. We heard of Bass and Blues pretty much the whole day. Scattered around in all different areas. Some anglers did very well and some just couldn′t put it together. We heard of fish being caught on both bait and artificials but Fresh Bait is still out producing artificials. Our very own Sean plugged up a few fish after work. Talked to one of our regulars that fished most of the day in seaside park and he had a ball with small bass on fresh clams and was able to get a nice 32″ Bass that he set free. Heard of some Bunker out front Tuesday so make sure you have your snags ready just incase. The weather for the next few days looks great. Tuesday weather....Cloudy early with partial sunshine expected late. High 81F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.

We picked up over 15 bushels of FRESH CLAMS and we also got more FRESH BUNKER! We′re loaded up!

Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!!!!

Tuesday 5/22
A lot of small bass again. Few guys got into them on plugs at first light. Also heard of some big Bluefish. We had one weighed-in on a popper off the surf. Bait was producing small bass most of the day. Nothing crazy but it was action. Tuesday′s weather.... Partly cloudy. Chance of a shower in the evening. High 68. Winds SE 5-10mph.

Monday 5/21 Much better
It was another good day along the beach. We had a nice spread of both Bass and Blues. Bait is still dominating the weigh-in list with most of the fish being weighed-in on either Clams or Bunker. Some interesting things did happen Sunday. We had a few reports of Bluefish being bitten in half while be reeled in. Check out the photo on our Facebook and Instagram page. Can′t confirm if its sharks but it sure looks like it! It would be extremely early for them but this Spring has been all over the place so it wouldn′t surprise me! There was also some large schools of Bunker along the northern beaches in the evening. I think things are only going to get better. It′s shaping up to be a very good Spring. We had good weigh-in list Sunday. Few of the fish weighed in were placing fish in the tournament. Congratulations to everyone that placed in the Governors Tournament! Mondays weather looks great. Partly Cloudy. High 69F. Winds ENE at 5 to 10 mph.

OPEN 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

OPEN 230am Sunday! Plenty of Fresh Bait!
A nice recovery Saturday after Friday′s blow. The fishing didn′t pick up until later Saturday afternoon but we got a bunch of reports of both Big Blues and Bass off the surf. All on bait! Lots of smaller bass around too. We had 2 big Blues hit the scale from the surf and I heard of several nice bass that were released. Not everyone caught but after Fridays wind it was pretty encouraging. In the back bay the Bluefish were there. Some guys got them on poppers but Bunker Chunks are working well. Sunday is the Governors Tournament down in IBSP. Tournament fishing hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We have EVERYTHING you need. OPEN 230am Sunday!! We′re loaded up on Fresh Bunker and Fresh Clams. Sundays weather.. Partly Cloudy. Chance of afternoon thunderstorms. High 83F. Winds WSW at 10 to 20 mph.

Good luck to Everyone entering!!!!!!!!!
