Is This A New Trend?
Wednesday, May, 25, 2016 at 3:25AM
Along with the daily parade of Big Blues on the scale, we had not one, but two 40 inch BASS come in yesterday! There were more being reported too! How nice would it be to see the Bass push the Bluefish out of the way for the coming holiday weekend? Yes, we are loaded with Bunker and Clams!
The weather idiots have this - Sunny. High 83F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.

Same Old, Same Old!
Yup! It Bluefish again! Yup! They came hungry! This incredible Bluefish run has to be one for the record books by now and it shows little sign of stopping. Poppers, swimmers, bucktails, metals, Mullet, Bunker or whatever you have are all producing results. While you all were busy with the yellow eyed devils, the ocean water temps have finally made it into the upper 50s. There is a warmer trend in the weather about to hit and a few more ticks in the temps could trigger something interesting with all the bait we have in the area.
Big boxes came in from Gibbs and Guppy Yesterday, just in the nick of time! Thank you all for keeping us insanely busy! Poor Ray has to stay late at night restocking the store with all the stuff he keeps buying. Nice to see the lad actually work!
The weather idiots have this - Cloudy skies with a few showers later in the day. Thunder possible. High 68F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

First Fluke of the Season!
The first surf caught Fluke of the season hit the scale yesterday. Not many anglers even targeting them with all the Blues around. The boats have been able to find some Bass but its tough getting past all the Blues from the beaches. The inlet and bay seemed to be the gathering spots for the Blues yesterday but who knows where they will turn up today!
The weather idiots have this - Intervals of clouds and sunshine. Slight chance of a rain shower. High around 65F. Winds light and variable.

Even More.......
Blues is the news! It is the second day of Fluke season but few guys are trying. There are Bass out there but getting past the Blues to get to them is easier said than done. Bunker and Mullet are still producing the majority of the catch but any old artificial seem to be working too. If anything, I am hearing more and more about metals from my sore armed customers.
The weather idiots have this - Mostly cloudy skies. Slight chance of a rain shower. High near 65F. N winds shifting to E at 10 to 15 mph.

No End In Sight!
The Blues are relentless and just keep coming. Mullet and Bunker are accounting for most of them but the are taking artificials too! Poppers have been a favorite but I am hearing a lot about AVAs, AOKs and other metals. The guys doing best with the SPs have changed to a single Siwash! Some bass are in there too with Clams getting a few from the surf. A couple of Monsters have come in from the boats too so there are Bass beyond the blues.
The weather idiots have this - Cloudy skies with periods of rain later in the day. High around 60F. E winds at 5 to 10 mph, increasing to 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 70%. Rainfall near a quarter of an inch. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.
