Not everyone caught fish Saturday but some did well. We had some nice fish weighed in. Right spot at the right time about sums it up. In the morning the fish came in at certain spots for a short period and you had to be there to catch.. We heard of fish caught on a little bit of everything Saturday (Look at weigh-in list to the left). When it got dark in the evening the bait guys using Bunker did well and we also heard of some guys catch on plugs and shads in the dark. The Bunker stayed a little further out Saturday but more West wind is coming and it looks to continue for the next 3 days which is GREAT NEWS. Another thing I forgot to mention was the Big Blues that have moved back into the area. Some guys got into them on poppers during the daytime hours. The chances of something bigger happening in the next few days is pretty high due to the upcoming West winds and the abundance of bait in the area. We′ll see what happens. Sundays weather..Partly Cloudy. High 57F. Winds W at 20 to 30 mph.

*****On this Thanksgiving we′ll be running a Kids′s (16 and younger) Grumpys Tackle/Tsunami Fishing Tournament. Biggest fish (Striped Bass or Bluefish) weighed in at Grumpys during our Thanksgiving business hours will win a Tsunami Tackle package! Trust me this package is awesome! (Reel, Lures and more!) I′ll have more details on this kids tournament Monday night!.........Ray

They′re here 11/18
Wow! Safe to say the Bass have arrived. Friday was the best day of the Fall so far. Weigh-in list tells the story. We had some big fish weighed in. Manasquan to the IBSP. Get up there first light and hunt for Bunker. The guys snagging bunker did the best Friday. If you don′t want to chase the bait throw bunker chunks or throw poppers/swimmers. We also had a good bite in the dark on plugs. There was also some Big Blues around! The fish are here and its time to fish. Saturdays weather...Cloudy early then showers later in the day. High 57F. Winds SW at 20 to 30 mph...........Ray

Friday 11/17
Pretty much a carbon copy of yesterday. We had lots of bunker along the beach Thursday. We heard of Bass on both bait and plugs. The guys plugging at night are catching fish. The guys throwing bait are doing well on Bunker Chunks. We got in a ton of Bunker Thursday so we′ll have plenty for Friday. The west winds we have right now is exactly what you want. Should get the bait closer to the beach. Looks the the West winds will continue for the next 4 days. Friday′s weather...Mostly Sunny. High 49. Winds WNW 15-25mph........Ray

Encouraging evening reports 11/16
We want to send our condolences to David Colley′s family. He was our St. Croix rep the past few years and passed away yesterday. He was a great man. Our thoughts and prayers are with David′s family today. Rest in Peace David! You′ll be sorely missed!

Fishing report...... Well we got some very encouraging reports from the evening crew. Some good fishing off the local beaches on plugs. Not a ton of guys out. Seemed the bite only lasted a short period but they were there and hungry! Fish ranged from shorts to just keeper size. No particular hot spot. We got reports from all different areas. We also heard of a few Bass picked up on bait throughout the day. We had one nice bass weighed in on Bunker. Tog season opens up Thursday to 6 fish! We have everything you need. We now have the S&S John Skinner Tog Jigs. This jig has the perfect size hook. 3 colors to choose from. Come check them out.

A welcomed WEST WIND is coming!! Todays weather... Showers in the AM becoming Partly Sunny. High 57. West Winds 20-30mph.............Ray

Wednesday 11/15
A pick of Bass on bait and a few guys got into some small bass on plugs before first light. I know some guys are doing well in the evening just walking the beach throwing SP′s. Still waiting for this thing to really kick off in our woods. The boys up north have putting good catches together and there′s peanuts up there. There was a bunch of bunker in our area just outside casting distance Tuesday. Todays weather...Mostly Cloudy. High 51F. Winds ENE at 10 to 15 mph. Blackfish season opens up this Thursday to 6 fish! We have Green Crabs and all the blackfish jigs you need. This is good opportunity to take 6 fish home from the jetty before these fish move out to deeper water!

Phil our bait guy will be out first thing tomorrow looking for Bunker. We do have some still available..........Ray

Reports of more Bunker out front. Came close a few times so make sure you have a snag in your bag. We′ve had a decent pick of bass in the dark the past few nights. All on plugs. The bait guys picked a few fish during the day on Bunker chunks. Lots of good reports came from the northern surf crowd Monday. All Big Fish. Todays weather.. Partly Cloudy. High 49F. Winds N at 10 to 20 mph...........Ray
