Sharking still good and I heard of more Fluke off the beach. Mostly all shorts but it was good to hear about more being caught. Tons of Cow Nose Rays in the area. Bay has a ton of Crabs and Snapper Blues. Good luck to everyone entering the Point Pleasant Elks Fluke Tournament! We′ll be open at 3am if you need anything. Todays weather...Mostly cloudy. High 82F. Winds E at 5 to 10 mph.

We got in a bunch of stuff Friday. Good Sharking! 7/22
Some good sharking again. Most of our reports came from the Seaside Park to IBSP area but I know they′re getting a few north as well. I can honestly say this has been one of the better 2 week spans of sharking in some years. Now we′re starting to see a few Brown sharks mix in. Bunker and Mackerel are still the bait. We have plenty of Beach Shark Rigs! Try squirting some Bunker Oil in the surf. We had a few guys do incredible with the oil. We have it if you need it. The Cow Nose Rays are making their presence know. Tons of them in the area. Heard a few Big Blues taken by the shark guys at night. If you catch one throw a nice Bluefish fillet out. One of the best shark baits you can get. Fluking still quiet on the beach. Todays weather...Partly cloudy skies. High 91F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

**Important information when targeting sharks on the beach. If you hook a Sand Tiger shark or Sandbar Shark (Protected Species) please keep them in the water and remove the hook as fast as possible. And this goes for any shark you hook on the beach! It′s illegal to take, possess, or land Sand Tigers and Sandbar Sharks. Figured I′d let people know now since we′re getting into some good Beach Shark action.**

Open Early!-Close Late!.....Ray

Report hasn′t changed a bit. We have some very warm ocean temperatures in the area right now which explain the night time shark bite. Sand Tigers continue to prowl at night but we′re now hearing of some Brown sharks in the area. Cow nose Rays are all over the place even getting close to the bathers! Watch your rods!! Didn′t hear anything on the Fluke Wednesday. Snappers are all over the bay and now surf. Crabbing still remains excellent. Todays weather...Intervals of clouds and sunshine. Hot and humid. High 92F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph

Report really hasn′t changed. More reports of Sharks, Cownose Rays, Blues, and a few fluke. Beach Sharking is the game in town right now. If you′re a first time sharker make sure you have the right rod and reel outfit. We have everything you need from Rigs to Bait to Rod/Reel outfits! This Saturday is the Point Pleasant Elks Fluke Tournament. We′re fully stocked on all the Bucktails and Gulp you need. Also a huge selection of Frozen bait. Todays weather...Partly cloudy. High 82F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph.

Lots of Life out there! 7/18
Encouraging reports came in on Monday. One well respected angler (Wont mention his name because he′s shy!) told me Monday was the most life he′s seen on the beach since May. Schools of Bluefish in the waves, some sharks, Cow nose rays, and he even saw a school of Bass swim by. Lots of small bait in the area so that explains why these fish are close. He told us metal was working good for the Blues up to 6lbs. The cow nose Rays are here in FULL FORCE so watch your rods. We had guys hooking up with them while fluking! Already heard of one rod casualty while bait fishing. Fluking was a little slow but I did hear of a few small ones caught on Gulp. Crabbing is excellent and snappers are all over the bay and they′re even showing up in the surf now. Hey its July and there′s some fish around! Todays weather...Considerable clouds early. Some decrease in clouds later in the day. High 78F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph.

We got in a ton of Grumpy Summer clothing! The Tank Tops have been a hit! ..........Ray

Monday 7/17
We got some really good reports from the overnight crowd that fished Saturday night. Some big sharks were caught. If you plan on fishing for the sharks on the beach you must have the right rod and reel outfit. Most anglers are using anywhere from a 11-12′ rod with a 8000 or bigger size reel spooled with 65-80 lb power pro. When it comes to the rigs we have a couple to choose from. Outside of sharking we have fluke and blues in the area. Remember if you go down to IBSP you can keep 2 fluke at 16″. Nice way to take home some dinner! We had some really big cow nose ray′s move into the area this weekend so watch your rods!! Crabbing in the bay has been very good. Lots of kids came in Sunday and showed off their catches. Today′s weather is another good one.. Partly cloudy skies. High near 80F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph.......... Ray
