Just in Time for Shark week!
Saturday, July, 26, 2014 at 3:26AM
The Brown Sharks are here and the dusk into dark guys have come up with some nice ones. We have two nice beach shark rigs and you can bait them with Bunker or Mackerel. The Fluke bite is pretty good on the surf. Snappers have made their way into the surf and the Fluke are loving it. If you can get some they make a good bait, otherwise, stick with the Bucktail Jig tipped with GULP. Some blues are being caught mostly with Mullet. The Crabbing and Snapper fishing in the bay is really good. Plenty of dinner guests going home daily.
The weather idiots have this - Considerable clouds early. Some decrease in clouds later in the day. High 77F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph.
Check out the news items on our home page for info on the summer programs being offered by those nice people at IBSP. You, or someone you know, may want to take advantage of these low cost how-to, hands-on classes!!!

Super Beach Day!
Not only is the forecast great, the Fluke bite has really picked up. We are hearing about plenty and weighed in one at 4.55 lbs from the surf yesterday. Gulp and Bucktail Jigs are getting the job done! Snappers have moved into the surf! Catch yourself some with a sabiki rig and try live lining them for Fluke. The Sharks are back! We had some solid reports of Browns that moved in with the warmer water. Even you guys with the annoying day job can get out for the dusk into dark fun! We have two excellent beach shark rigs! The Crabbing in the Bay has gotten really good. Lots of dinner guests going home!
The Point Pleasant Elks Fluke Tournament is tomorrow! We are well stocked with everything you need. Check out our wide selection of Bucktail Jigs by S&S Bucktails, Spro, The old Mans Tackle Box and Andrus, one of the largest selections of Gulp in the area, Frozen baits and Fluke rigs etc. etc. etc.
The weather idiots have this - Mostly sunny. High 74F. Winds NE at 5 to 10 mph.

Mike needs a surge protector. It would protect his mouth from any spurious brain activity!

Fluke n Blues
Or is it Blues n Fluke? They seem to be taking turns showing up. The Blues are somewhat partial to Mullet but bring those poppers and metals too. We are hearing about a lot of short Fluke but the water temps are back up and we should be seeing more bigger fish. Dont forget that IBSP is a special Fluke Zone this year. Only a 16 inch minimum and a two fish bag limit.
The Point Pleasant Elks Fluke Tournament is this Saturday! We have all the info in the store if you havent entered yet!
Ray is at it again! More multi-box deliveries again yesterday. To name a few - S&S Bucktails, Spro, Gulp and St Croix Rods. Looking for a new Fluke rod for the tournament? We have a lot to choose from!
The weather idiots have this - Cloudy. High 76F. Winds N at 10 to 15 mph.

Still Good Weather!
We seem to be in a holding pattern with Blues and Fluke taking turns as the fish of the day. The Blues seem to prefer Mullet and the Fluke continue to go for the Bucktail Jig tipped with GULP. Now that the water temps are back up, we have a few guys doing the dusk into dark shark thing. We have a couple of really nice Beash Shark Rigs if you want to give this a shot.
The weather idiots have this - Mostly sunny skies. High 81F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph.

Lets hope this is a trend!
We had an 8 lb Blue weighed in on a popper! Nice to see a bigger Blue and even nicer to see it was on a popper! It seems they have mostly wanted meat all year and ignored the artificials. We are seeing more guys going out looking for sharks now that the water has warmed back up. We have two types of Beach Shark Rigs if you want to give it a try. The best time is dusk into dark and use Bunker of Mackeral. The Point Pleasant Elks Fluke Tournament is this Saturday! We have a ton of Fluke stuff in stock including Bucktail Jigs by S&S, Spro, & Old Mans Tackle Box as well as a large selection of GULP.
The weather idiots have this - Mainly sunny. High near 75F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph.

If you thinking of that nice custom rod for the fall run. Now would be a good time to get it ordered so I have time to get it done. You know what will happen if you wait till the last minute

More Good Beach Weather!
And its Monday which means no fighting traffic and crowds. We had some more Blues around yesterday, all in the under 5lb. class and Mullet seems to be the favorite bait! The Fluke have returned with the warmer water andGulp on a Bucktail Jig is getting the job done if you are willing to work for them! We had a few customers come back for more Spearing yesterday, after the snappers cleaned them out.
The weather idiots have this - Some clouds in the morning will give way to mainly sunny skies for the afternoon. High 73F. Winds ENE at 5 to 10 mph.
