Is this the start of the run?
Saturday, October, 25, 2014 at 3:21AM
Had a Beautiful Bass hit the scale right before closing last night. Fish was caught by Tom Carter and weighed 27.15Lbs. He took it on a Clam off the IBSP Surf. We got a decent amount of reports of Bass on Clams and Metal yesterday. Could this be the start of the run? I think it just might be.. There′s definitely a body of Fish to the north of us and it seems like we got some fish starting to trickle into our area now. Break out the Clams and Skinny Metal/Teasers.
More orders arrived yesterday from Shimano and G-Loomis. To much to list just come check us out. The fullest the shops ever been and we can only thank one person. YOU! Thanks to all our loyal customers for their many years of patronage. It is because of your support that we′ve been able to build this Monster! Todays weather.....It′s a beauty! Sunny. High 67F. Winds W at 10 to 15 mph..........Ray

Some decent weather for a change! More Stock added
We got the bad weather out of here and the weather looks pretty darn good...We′ll have westerly winds for the foreseeable future which should help the fishing. Maybe the past storm will get things going?? Didn′t hear anything yesterday due to the weather.
Was able to unpack the huge order yesterday which included the NEW Abu Garcia 6500 & 7000 Blue Yonders, 6500 c3 Striper Specials (Yes it′s Back!), 7000I′s, and 7000IC3′s...All the NEW Penn Battle II′s in stock! We also got NEW Penn Rods and Reels.. We now carry Spider wire Ultra Cast Invisi-Braid. Feedback on this braid has been awesome so we added it in.. Big Order of Sportfish Product Umbrella Rigs. We′ve been very busy adding to an already stacked shop. Go Big or go home we like to say! Todays weather.....Sunshine along with some cloudy intervals. High 63F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph.

Nice weather ahead...
Just have to get through today! Nice weather is on the horizon. Like I said in earlier reports... Now′s the time to make sure everything is ready for the upcoming run.
Reports were Slim yesterday due to the weather and I doubt we′ll hear much today.
A tractor trailer load of stuff came in yesterday. Huge orders from Penn, Abu Garcia, Fenwick to name a few. Once I get everything unpacked today I′ll tell you what we have.. Lots of new reels and rods.. Todays weather.....Rain showers along with windy conditions. High 56F. Winds NNW at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

Back Bay starting to come alive..
Quiet day yesterday. Only heard of a few Small Blues on Mullet outside. Back Bay has been coming alive though. Heard of several nice keeper size fish and schoolies behind the park on plugs.
We had some Fall Orders come in yesterday. Got a delivery from Gear-Up Surfcasting. If you′re looking for a top of the line Surf Bag for the upcoming run look no further. These guys make one of the most beautiful bags on the market. They also shipped us Belts, Plier Sheaths, and D-Rings. We also got a big box Got Stryper Pintails in assorted Sizes and Colors.
Todays Weather....Rain and a few thunderstorms this morning, then variable clouds with still a chance of showers during the afternoon. Windy. High 59F. Winds NNE at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall may reach one inch.

The Small Blues returned!
Not a ton of anglers out yesterday but the guys that went reported lots of small Blues on Mullet. Lots of Bass north of us so it′s just a matter of time! Need water temps to drop.. These cooler nights should help. Be patient! Now′s the time to make sure you have everything ready because it could happen at anytime.
We now carry Black Label Plugs! We got Needles, Surfsters, A-40s, and Peanuts. More Accurate reels arrived yesterday. Was able to talk to Van Staal yesterday and they told me the new X-Series Reels should be here sometime next month. We′ll have them! Today′s Weather....Cloudy with occasional showers for the afternoon. Thunder possible. High around 65F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 50%

Feels Like Fall at Last!
Maybe now we will start to see the beginning of the fall fishing? The windy conditions of yesterday have moved out and it is looking pretty good for a beach day. The ocean water temps have started to fall and are now into the lower 60s. Not many fishermen out yesterday due to the wind but we are still hearing about short Bass on clams and of course, Blues. The Blues seem to have thinned out (to make room for the Bass?) but there are still plenty in the neighborhood.
As a public service, when I leave to go Tarpon fishing tonight, I will take Mike with me. No need to thank me for all the peace and quiet you will have. Its a tough job and somebody has to do it! At least Ray wont be ordering anything, the store is full.
The weather idiots have this - Intervals of clouds and sunshine. High 62F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph.

Mike should have been a weatherman. Then it wouldn′t matter very much if he was wrong all the time!
