A Nice Weekend of Fish

Quick shop news.

If you are looking for a Shimano Saragosa 6000, we got some in.  They had been hard to get up until recently, and we know some people were waiting for that specific size.  It’s go time…

The local fishing has been “steady good”.  Barnegat Bay has been the spot to be locally, but other than that, we haven’t heard of any particular hotspots in the bay.  We have had reports come in from all over.  For bait, bloodworms have been the ticket.  For lures, Tsunami Swim Shads, Kettle Creek Shads, Storm Wildeye Swim Shads, Vudu Shrimp, and Rapala X Raps have been producing.

We have heard a few more reports of fish from the ocean side.  It should start up there any day now.

For the upcoming week, the weather looks pretty good.  We have plenty of bloodworms, salted clams and fresh bunker for those who want to go out.

Here are some notable catches this past weekend:

Justin Miller sent us this picture of a nice striper he picked up this weekend.

Justin’s friends were also getting in on the action.

@bmace271 sent us this picture of a nice striped bass he landed this weekend.

@the_pa_surfcaster did the night thing and was rewarded for his efforts.  This fish fell for a Scabelly glider.

Ray left a little early from the shop today, as he has the right to, but he came back near closing.  And he brought his family along with him.  His youngest son spent most of the time they were there helping Blackcloud Bob rearrange the rod building area.  The rest of the family, however, stopped to pose for a picture.
