A Thanksgiving Weekend For The Ages

Thanks for everyone who stopped in for our Black Friday to Cyber Monday sale. It was a great success both in the shop and online.  We have a few in-store specials that will be sticking around even after the Black Friday sale is over.  What are they?  Stop in the store to find out.

In other shop news, we added some new color Lights Out Lures Danny swimmers last week, which was good timing with what happened over the weekend.  There are still a few left, so you have a chance to get a good metal lipped swimmer before this madness ends?

What madness?  Well, we had good fish all weekend, but the best days were Thanksgiving day and Sunday.   Depending on where you were, you either found fish chasing peanut bunker or, in some rarer cases, adult bunker.  It seemed to be an afternoon bite through most of the weekend too.  I can’t list every plug we heard was working here, because, as our own Blackcloud Bob was heard saying, it seemed like if you threw an old sock on a hook, you could catch a bass on it.  As far as we know, no one tested his theory, but we still think it had merit.

Here is a (long) list of notable catches:

Mike Wujek with a 32” 13.4 lb bass caught on a popper

Chris Solarz with a 33” 12.55 lb bass caught on a swim shad in IBSP

Even Ray got into it Sunday with Little Ray.  Well, Little Ray and Littler Ray. 😊.

Steve Regan with a 34 inch, 14.85 pound bass caught on an SP Minnow

The bass had the late afternoon feed on again on Monday. Shads, Metal Lips, and Poppers all produced. Here’s our Daiwa rep @60xmancini  testing out some new Daiwa gear!

Bringing back the picture of Ray and Ray Jr.  I’d like to note that this guy owns a tackle shop, and he doesn’t own any waders.  That’s it.  That’s all we are picking on Ray about this time…
