An Electric Day

In shop news for Thursday, we got a small shipment of Van Staal reels.  Come in and get the premier surf fishing reel that every other reel compares themselves too.

We also got in a case of 2021 NJ Recreational Minimum Size, Possession Limit & Seasons cards.  They are free, so come in and pick one up.

We also got word we have more Shimano reels coming in very soon.  Are you looking for a Saragosa 5000 or 6000?  How about a new Vanford?  Keep an eye on our Instagram or Facebook to be the first to know when they arrive.

There’s more big news due to arrive next week, but we’ll just keep the lid on that one for now.

As far as fishing goes, angler participation has been low.  We can’t report them if there is no one catching them.  Luckily we did hear about some stuff…

The biggest game in town right now is fluke.  Walking the beach throwing a bucktail with Gulp! is still by far the best producer.  If you for whatever reason do not like Gulp!, tipping your bucktail with a squid strip will get them too.

We have heard of some cocktail blues around too.  They have been taking pieces of fresh bunker or frozen mullet.  If you are fishing bait, keep a close eye on your rods.  We have heard of a couple that went swimming when unattended.  That means there must also be some sharks or rays around.  You have been warned.

We had a heck of a lightning storm roll through Seaside Park Thursday evening.  Bob didn’t like it, as he wanted to do epoxy but cannot if there is a chance his rod dryers will lose power.  (Don’t worry if you are waiting for a custom rod, the storm blew through and Bob got his epoxy done).

Ray seemed to enjoy the storm.  He got dressed up for it…
