Decent bite before the blow..

Decent bite before the blow..

We had a decent bite Wednesday morning before the wind came in. Right now it's unfishable and it may stay that way for most of Thursday. We'll see what the conditions are tomorrow. I think the word "consistent" sums up the 2020 fall run. We've had about 5 weeks of some really good fishing this fall. It was a beautiful thing to see. Hopefully the fishing bounces back!

I also wanted to mention if you didn't see our Social Media post from today that we're running our annual Grumpys Tackle St.Judes Fundraiser. 100% of all donations will go to St.Judes Children's Hospital and we'll match it with our own check! Typically we have the Grumpy Santa sit-down but with Covid we decided to not do that this season even though Covid is probably scared of Grumpy! We decided to put our Fundraiser Box on the counter if anyone wants to donate. No donation to small! Grumpy already wants to plan next season so expect a kick-ass event next season since we could not have it this year.. We appreciate all our customers!!!

Here's what our Hours of Operation will look like going forward...

Now to December 23rd- 430am-8pm

Christmas Eve- 430am-11am

Christmas Day-Closed

Winter Hours officially kick in on December 26th to 7am-7pm Everyday!

A quick update.  The weather has pushed through and, other than being cold, it isn't a bad day out.  The ocean is a bit churned up but with the winds dying down, it should clean up nicely.  The last storm like this only shut down what has been good fishing for a day or two.  We expect this to be no different.

Also, some additional website news.  We have been adding products daily.  Recent additions are the new Penn Battle III DX reels.  These are a nice reel with a couple of improvements over the Penn Battle III (which is also a nice reel).  They are also not widely available.  We have them both online and in the shop.

We have also added Bill Hurley Cape Cod Sand Eels - AVA Tandem Jig Paddletail Sand Eel.  This should make the choice of whether to use an AVA jig or a sand eel lure easier.  Or does it?  :-)

And finally we have added Gamakatsu Finger Guards, so you won't have to worry about risking a possible career as a hand model to braid cuts on your fingertips.
