Even More Striped Bass, Again

First, shop news…

We have added one new item from MaiTai.  With a push from Scott, MaiTai stepped away from the rig tying game to supply us with some heavy duty fish stringers.  The MaiTai Tackle SGI Heavy Duty Fish Stringer is made to carry your catch.  A stainless Steel clip with a nylon coated steel lanyard that you can shorten with a strap and clip.  You can attach it to your belt, or your kayak to keep your catch.

We also recently reloaded on Beachwalker Bags from Ebbpoint.  These two-tube bags carry enough for a good day of fishing without weighing you down. They are perfect for chasing fish up and down the beach, hence the name.

The fishing in the surf has turned on.  It’s primarily a night bite and most of the fish are falling for artificial lures.  Almost everything you can throw has been working, but darters, metal lipped swimmers and swim shads have been the top producers. We would stress more how good the fishing is, but we'll just let the pictures below do the talking for us.

If you want to fish in the daylight, or you just prefer fishing bait, fresh bunker is the way to go.

Some recent notable catches:

Our cover shot, and above, @jojoandrade00_ with an absolute tank from Friday.

@escuetotherescue with a nice bass on a Superstrike darter.

Gary Cochran with an early morning darter fish.

Anthony Davis found some fish on the incoming tide Friday morning.

Gary Cochran with a chunk fish

JC Cassidy is reporting some fish on the chunk.

Big local fish just sent to us by Mike Sachse. Caught locally here in the surf on a darter.

@mikeypfeif sacrificed a rod to land this girl. Let’s have a moment of silence for his fiberstar

@s_hunter01 is on the night bite.

@nlatour17 stopped in, got a bomber, and picked up a nice bass on it. Great job!

@amrocco76 is on the bass. The night bite is producing locally.

Capt. Bill is on the night bite on a JoeBags swarter.

@mikey.vaccarino with another beautiful fish

Johny with a nice one

Here’s Mike with a great fish

Greg Burkhart reported this fish at 45 lbs at the end of the day

Our very own Sean Smida got in on the night bite on metal lips and SP Minnows. All fish caught up the street from the shop.

Georgie Miller is on the night bite.

The blur behind the fish is David Eurell.

Night time is the right time here’s our very own Scott with a night time bass.

Scott got into them with friends the next morning (Monday Morning) too.

The Serrao’s had a great morning! Here’s 5 year old Ariana with a 36” bass and 7 year old Lia with a 43.5 #” bass! This was the first fish for both of them, and they both were caught on a Salty C's metal lip. Great job girls, this is how your show the boys how it’s done.

Shell E and Adam Caris got on fish this morning! Pencils and Swimmers were your best bet.

All of the good fishing has Ray very happy.  So happy he does celebratory dances when no one is watching.  Unfortunately, someone was watching (and recording) and now we share this disturbing look with all of you…
