Have a Very Merry Christmas From Grumpys

First, shop news…

We would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to our great customer base for helping us raise $4107.63 from our Grumpy Santa St. Judes Charity event! This broke our previous record from last season. You have helped a child and their family during a difficult time, and even made this guy smile! WE CAN’T THANK YOU ALL ENOUGH!

Christmas is closing in fast.  Seriously, how did it get here so quickly?  It is honestly too late to be ordering something off our website to have it arrive on time.  The only exception would be online gift cards, which are delivered via e-mail nearly instantly.  For anything else, if you want it by Christmas, you are going to need to choose In Store Pickup at checkout and come get it.

And if you are not sure what to get, we have a couple of Grumpys Gift Baskets left…

While we are thinking about coming to the store, we should talk about our holiday hours.  For Friday, December 23rd, we will have our normal hours of 4:30 am to 8:00 pm.  For Saturday December 24th, our hours will be shortened to 4:30 am to 11:00 am.  We will be closed Christmas Day.  On December 26th we will be starting our usual winter hours, which are 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

We had a new product hit our shelves and online store this week.  We added a new Premium Grumpy All-Mesh Trucker hat.  Not a new color, but a new design.  Unlike the regular trucker hats where the 2 front panels are cotton and the 4 back are mesh, these are all mesh panels.  These will be great for hot days where you want your head to feel the breeze.  We have them in 4 colors, including two variations of camo, which were very popular in the Grumpys Premium Trucker Hats (which have also been restocked).

Even with the northeast wind and rain we had today, we had a few fishing reports.  One customer came in saying he had a nonstop striped bass bite on shads, mostly shorts and smaller slot fish, but he said it was a good time.

We also got a picture confirmation from Shel E Caris and Sal Padavano, who were doing well on striped bass in the surf, also on shads

With the upcoming winds and cold snap the weather folks are predicting, we have no idea what is going to happen to the current bass bite.  We’ll have to see.  The previous weather changes didn’t stop the bite, hopefully this one will not either.

Jenni got out before the weather turned and got herself a nice tog.

Ray has had a day.  He had the phone company in the shop two times in as many days to try and fix our phone lines.  If you called recently and the phone dropped the call, we apologize.  We think we have it fixed now. Well, the phone company thinks they have it fixed, we are guardedly waiting to see.  Anyway, back to Ray.  With the week we have been having, we are guessing this is how his Christmas morning is going to go…
