Lots of Water Lately

First, shop news…

We have switched over to winter hours.  We will now be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm every day.  The only exceptions are Christmas Eve, where we will be closing at noon, and Christmas Day, where we will be closed.  Why?  Maybe Raymond was visited by three ghosts recently.

Love Super Strike lures?  Have you been looking for more of their gear?  We have the hats!  There are two available, an all cotton baseball cap, and a cotton & polyester mesh trucker hat.  Both have the Super Strike logo with a Zig Zag Darter on them.

As far as the fishing goes, the weather system that moved in Sunday afternoon and caused all kinds of coastal flooding for Monday has essentially killed the good bite we had up to Saturday and Sunday morning.  Now, the fish may still be around, but no one is out in that weather to check.  After things calms down, this water recedes (should be gone by Tuesday hopefully), and the ocean cleans up, we expect the bite to pick up again.

As for our cover picture, the road leading up to the bay near the shop was covered with water pretty much up to Central Ave.  Scott decided to make a few casts.  Any guesses as to what he caught?

With the end of the year approaching, Ray has been planning some big stuff for Grumpys Tackle.  There is nothing we can reveal yet, but he has been HACKing through next year’s plans. Yup.  HACKing away…
