Post Christmas Report

We hope everyone had a happy, safe and healthy Christmas celebration.  The Grumpys Crew all had a great day.

Now, shop news.

We have had these reels in the shop for a while, and have finally gotten around to putting them online, albeit in a limited capacity at the moment.  Check out the Penn Warfare™ Star Drag Level Wind Conventional Reel.  It’s a nice solid budget level wind reel, great for fishing deeper wrecks with rigs for blackfish, or for dragging mojos on braided line.

The fishing is slower than it was before the holidays, but its not dead yet.  We heard reports of small striped bass being taken from the surf on sand eel imitations, like ava jigs, Bill Hurleys and Tsunami Sand eels

The blackfishing is good if you can get on a boat.  Green crabs on rigs or jigs are taking them.

Ray and Scott had a banner day blackfishing on Saturday, putting together a limit of keepers while throwing back the large breeder females to help the population stay solid.  Here is an artist rendition of them walking off the boat.
