Still going on…

The fish are still cooperating, but first, shop news…

(Yeah, I know, but it pays the bill so you can enjoy a free fishing report.  Grumpy wants to charge a dime a word for you to read the reports.)

(Nah, I am kidding...)

(Or am I?…)

We had a few shipments of new and/or restock items arrive yesterday.  First up are Shimano Tekota HG LC reels.  These trolling reels have an integrated line counter making them the perfect reel to troll mojos, umbrella rigs, or deep diving plugs for striped bass.  Currently available in-store only.

We restocked on some of the peripheral STORMR items, such as gloves, hats and socks.  Good timing too because mother nature just turned the heat down. Available both online and in store.

Yesterday we got in a nice shipment of Lights Out Lures from Mass.  In this shipment were two sizes of needlefish and pencil poppers.  Currently available in store only, but we will add them to the online shop shortly (assuming they don’t sell out in store).

As always, if you want something that is in-store only shipped to you, just hit us up an the Contact Us page and ask.

Speaking of adding to the online store, we have added Salty C’s Gliders.  They are 5 inches long, 2.4 oz and are slow sinkers.  Swim with the classic glider swim that fish cannot resist.

We also added three new models of Charlie Graves Tins.  For when small bait is around, there is the ¾ oz J-1.  The D-5S and B-B are thinner for their length, making them good sand eel imitations, while the B-1 is a little wider, making it a good peanut bunker imitation.   All come rigged with single hooks with white feathers.

The striped bass fishing remains very good.  Today we had a few “send-ins” and a classic weigh in.  First, the weigh in…

“Italy’s Best” with a 34” 12.50LB Bass on an SP Minnow out of the IBSP surf.

“Virginia Jack” always seems to know the right time to show up for the fall run.  Here he is with a nice fish landed on IBSP on one of the custom rods built for him by Blackcloud Bob

Our own Scott got a fish, and here he is in “hero landing” pose with it.  He got it on a metal lipped swimmer.

Now, that was three fish caught on lures.  Don’t worry bait anglers, we had this “send-in” also.  Kevin Baldwin sent in this picture of a bass he caught on a bunker head.

Just a note, Blackfish has opened up to 5 fish per angler.  We have everything you need for tog fishing, from weights and rigs to tog jigs.   And we have green crabs.

Now that blackfish has opened up fully, Ray is excited to go.  However, he isn’t going until Saturday.  So all week, he’s going to be holding back his excitement. Everybody who goes between now and then, send Ray a picture of the fish you catch.  He’ll love that…
