But first, some shop news.
Thanksgiving hours will be 4:30 am until 12:00 noon. At which point our employees plan to go stuff themselves with turkey and all the other traditional Thanksgiving fixings. We will reopen at 4:30 am on Friday and resume normal hours of operation. Our Black Friday to Cyber Monday sale starts 12:00 am Friday, and runs until 11:59 pm Monday. For in-store sales, it runs during our hours of operation (4:30 am to 8:00 pm) on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
We have added a few new products to our product lineup this past week. One we are all excited about is the new Hogy Charter Grade Perfect Needle Needlefish Lure. This needlefish s 7 inches long and weighs 3 ounces, which really lets you cast it out there. It is built of tough plastic so it will take some abuse. Come check them out.
Quantum has stepped up their game recently, and the first new item we have from them is the Quantum Strive spinning reel. You need to check these out in person, because the “hand feel” of these reels tells you they should sell well above the price point that they are at.
Going on a trip over the winter? Will there be a beach there? Wouldn’t you like to bring a surf rod with you but putting a one piece, or even a two piece, surf rod on a plane is cost prohibitive, if you are even allowed to at all? We have the solution. We think we may have figured out why Ray has been so sad lately. It’s not the shop, as that has been busier than ever. It’s not Scott, he is at his normal level of annoying Ray. It’s his favorite football team. Ray is a dyed-in-the-wool Washington Commanders fan. Earlier in the season when they had a glimmer of hope for being a contender he was happy. Purely giddy actually. Then they faced the Eagles in a Thursday Night game and reality started to set in. The depression really hit when the lowly Cowboys wiped the field with them. We suggested Ray seek professional help, and he said “Professional? Like a better defense? Are we getting RGIII back?” There is no hope for him…
