We have received a shipment of Z-Belt’s new Gen 2 version of their surf belt.  Improved from the previous version, these are the ultimate surf fishing belt, with built in lumbar support. 

We also received a limited amount of the Z-Belt Two Tube Plug bag in a new color, tan.  You need to see these in person.

The fishing has steadily improved in the surf.  If you are fishing clams, you have a good shot at a striped bass or a black drum.  Also, if you are seeing your bait getting stolen, switch to a blowfish rig, as the blowfish are in the surf right now.  They have also moved into the bay.

While the hottest bite is on clams, we have also been hearing reports of striped bass falling for artificials like SP Minnows, Yo-Zuri Mag Darters, and NLBN shads (the 5” variety).

Fishing has slowed in the bay for drum and bass, but we have been hearing reports of blues falling for poppers in the bay.

Ray and Sean made a trip opening day for fluke and put together a great catch.  They said the fluke only wanted 5 inch pink shine Gulp! grubs.  They ignored Gulp! shrimp (which they usually love this time of year in the bay) and even live killies. 

Fluke fishing so good even Scott got some.
