The MaiTai Striped Bass Worm rig is tied with quality 50 pound monofilament. Two sections of leader are separated by a quality barrel swivel. The upper section has an egg sinker and two red beads, while the low section of leader terminates in a inline circle hook.
Designed to correctly fish a sand flea (sand crab, mole crab) in the surf for striped bass. This rig allows the bait to drift in the currents naturally.
While designed for sand fleas, it will also work with calico crabs, worms, clams, shrimp and small pieces of cut bait.
Perfect for striped bass, but will work for summer flounder (fluke), weakfish, sea trout, redfish and many more species. Compliant with Atlantic striped bass regulations.
