The Madd Mantis Quibble is a very versatile bait. Because of its unique shape it shares the characteristics of a glide bait, a jerk bait and even a darter style bait.
The angle of the face will plane it down on retrieve. The rounded soft transition to the sides of the bait help it wander and glide. The flat sides and weighting also help the bait glide.
If you slowly reel in this bait, it will randomly wiggle and wander like a darter. If you reel a bit faster the bait will wiggle like a lip bait. If you add a long, strong pull to your retrieve the Quibble will dive and dart. When you stop reeling the bait will hold its position or slowly float up depending on the salinity of the water you are fishing. The flat sides help prevent this bait from rolling over when fished aggressively or when fished in strong currents.

- The through wire system thoughtfully runs in a closed channel down the belly of the bait, reducing the chance of sea water getting inside the bait.
- The still posture of the bait in the water is that of a suspending bait with a possible slow float to the surface.
- Incorporates a low-tone rattle that drives fish out of their minds with anger.
- Internal X ribs give the appearance of scales to the outside finished bait, but also serves to hide the cross braces that make the bait so tough.

Oversize Items (such as fishing rods) or multiple package shipments may require additional charges. In-Stock items are usually shipped within 3 to 5 business days. Customized items (such as reels pre-spooled with line) may take up to an extra two business days to ship to allow for the customizations to be made.
Shipping costs are calculated based on the carrier/options chosen at checkout. Shipping costs include the cost of the packaging.
Free Economy Shipping is offered on orders over $100.00. If this option is chosen at checkout, the carrier and service used to ship the order is determined by Grumpys Tackle at the time of order fulfillment. Some items, such as fishing rods and other odd/over sized items, are excluded from the free shipping offer.
Store pick up is available as an option, and is free. Store pickup orders will be available in 2 to 4 business days. Customized items, such as reels pre-spooled with line, may take up to an extra two days. Customers will be notified by e-mail or text, per the customers preference, when the order is ready. Orders will not be ready for pickup prior to the e-mail or text indicating so. When picking up an order, a customer will be required to provide the order number and a valid form of ID. Orders will not be released to anyone other that the customer who's name is on the invoice unless prior arrangements are made. Orders are to be picked up at 906 NE Central Ave, Seaside Park, NJ and will be available from Sunday to Thursday, Noon to 7:00 PM.
Shipping Fishing Rods: We have customized our shipping of fishing rods to fall into 7 tiers. All but the last tier (Tier MP - Market Price) are a flat rate to ship the rods. Multiple factors went into determining which tier a rod will fall into, including but not limited to cost of the rod, size of the box needed to ship the rod, etc. Rods may switch tiers due to the factors calculating their tier having changed. To determine a shipping cost on a specific rod, add it to you cart and go through the checkout process to the shipping section.
