Happy Halloween At Grumpys

Happy Halloween from everyone at Grumpys.

And now, shop news….

We have added new metal lipped swimmer to the line up.  Check out the Next Level Peanut Swimmer.  At 4 ¼ inches long and 2 ounces, this is going to be a plug you reach for when the striped bass find the peanut bunker in the surf.  And don’t forget to keep them in your bag when mullet and herring are around.  Especially that smokey joe with the pink belly for herring…

The fishing for the big striped bass has been tapering off a little.  Was it the full moon?  The change in weather?  The change in winds?  Have the fish moved on?  Here is the tea. There were still fish being caught, so its not over (despite some calls that it is on social media).  Locally there have been some nice fish caught in the surf, some on bunker chunks, some on rubber shads, and some on metal lipped swimmers

The blackfish bite off the local rockpiles remains pretty good with green crabs on tog jigs or tog rigs.

Some notable recent catches:

Another day, another slob by Dominick.  (Note the time of day….)

@dmckay1717 is making Bob The Garbage Man proud with this slob of a bass taken on a chunk in IBSP.

Ray wanted to go as something scary for Halloween.  In case it wasn’t readily apparent, Ray is scared of vegetables…
